New Ireland of PNG

The local believers are especially eager to understand God’s truths and read His words for themselves. Without a true knowledge of God, many New Ireland people fall back on traditional animistic rituals when life is hard. Even godly people are vulnerable to unhealthy teaching when there is almost no well-understood book of God’s words.

  • Pray for continued quality work by the mother-tongue translators in their villages. Pray for good consulting progress and language learning by the consultants.
  • Sherm and project advisor Ed have been working to get entry visas for all the staff of NITI. Pray that all PNG entry visas for these NITI staff members will be granted quickly.
  • Praise God that the mother tongue is being used increasingly in the local churches.
  • Thank the Lord that despite the NITI staff’s limitations He continues to give them success, even helping them overcome hurdles they didn’t know existed. God is good, all the time!
