Lis ma Ron of Nigeria

Living in the heart of Nigeria, the 75,000 Lis ma Ron, or Ron, people are subsistence farmers. About half of the population is Christian. Yet another major religion in the area is quickly gaining ground. Local Christian leaders are now urgently requesting Scriptures in the mother tongue to strengthen discipleship and outreach.

This project was framed to translate the New Testament and portions of the Old Testament, starting in 2008 and ending in 2012.

  • Praise God: The team is making progress on Matthew’s Gospel and 11 other New Testament books.

  • Praise God for the new typist and all who contribute to the success of the Lis ma Ron Bible translation effort.

  • Pray for wisdom as the translators seek out the best wordings that will impact this generation for Christ.
