Daily Prayer: the Southern Mexico Cluster project
The Southern Mexico Cluster languages are served by two experienced indigenous translation consultants. Languages participating in this cluster: Santo Domingo, San Pablo, Santa Maria , San Vicente & San Miguel. The five language groups range from 1,500 to 9,500 speakers each. The people of the groups are traditionally farmers with some engaged in skilled crafts.
- Matthew and Luke have been turned in for manuscript editing and Mark will be submitted next. Pray that the Lord’s hedge of protection will surround the final stages of the work.
- Testing of 1 and 2 Corinthians with local speakers has taken place in the Santa Maria language. Young people came out of their villages to assist with this testing. The team will review the changes the young people have suggested during testing. Galatians is slated to be tested next.
- The San Miguel team continues editing the recording of the Luke video so that they can show it in local villages by year’s end. This video is similar to the JESUS film and has been dubbed with at least 20 different people’s voices.
