Daily Prayer: the Majukayong people of the Philippines
God is clearly at work among the Majukayong people who live in scattered village communities in the hills within the provinces of Kalinga and Mountain Province in northern Luzon, Philippines.
Those these small-scale farmers have a history of mixing faith in Christ with the traditional animistic religion, there is a strong push to translate God's word into Majukayong and refocus on God's message.
- Pray that the Lord will grant special grace and guidance to the translators as they work on the theologically rich books of Romans, Galatians and Ephesians.
- The team is hard at work, translating the book of John. Pray that John’s Gospel will make a dramatic difference in many Majukayong speakers’ hearts and lives.
