Daily Prayer: the Grasslands people of Mexico
The people of the Grasslands community are descendents of an ancient people who inhabited Meso-America long before the Spanish conquistadors arrived.
The primary translator is the daughter of a Grasslands pastor. She’s completed three levels of linguistics training, two writer’s workshops, and a songwriter’s workshop and is adapting Scripture from a related language translation. Four local churches have also caught the vision and have formed a team of representatives from various congregation to lend support.
- Praise the Lord for the community’s interest in the translated Scriptures.
- Pray for continuing literacy efforts that the Psalms and new worship songs will aid in spiritual growth.
