Daily Prayer: the Lubwisi-speaking people of Uganda

84,000 speakers live on the western slopes and plains of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains. The Babwisi who speak Lubwisi, have traditionally lived as subsistence farmers, but some grow cash crops like cocoa, coffee and rice. Years of fighting between rebel and government soldiers have taken their toll on the Babwisi, as have famine, poverty and diseases like HIV/AIDS. Praise God this project is fully funded.

  • Pray that as Revelation is in its final stages, people will be prepared to receive it.
  • Many Epistles are in the works. Pray that God will give the Lubwisi team insight and discernment as they strive to complete work on the New Testament epistles.
  • Jonah, Mark and Acts have been printed and circulated among the people. Keep praying that local churches will encourage use of the published Gospel of Mark and Acts in their congregations.
  • Pray for the Lord’s protection against Ebola in the Lubwisi area. Pray that those who’ve been affected by it will be well soon. Pray that God will bring an end to the epidemic, which is still rampant in some places.
