40,000 speakers. This New Testament translation project that will speak especially to the women and poor of the Irigwe community. The Irigwe people have a thirst for the Bible in their language. Two previous translation efforts brought small amounts of Scripture to the Irigwe people, but few truly benefited from these efforts. Seed Company partners will bolster these earlier efforts by the Irigwe church, providing computers, training materials, visits by experienced consultants and training sessions. We trust that this help, accompanied by much prayer, will make this third effort to translate the New Testament and Old Testament portions a success.

• Praise God that, in answer to prayer, a photocopier and generator have been provided for the Irigwe team so that they can work on the translation at night. Pray that the translators will improve the quality of the mother-tongue Scriptures as they take them through the steps in the translation process.
• Peter has translated the script of the JESUS film, and also some Christian hymns in the Irigwe language. The team is currently working to get the JESUS film ready to record in the mother tongue. Pray that the team can reach their objectives for the JESUS film and Irigwe hymns.
• Pray for the literacy committee as they oversee teacher training in the zones. Pray that local people will support and participate in Irigwe literacy
