1,077,000 speakers who are hunters and farmers who practice a local form of animism. The Hoen people live in a South Asian country that is generally hostile to missionary activity. They practice a traditional animistic religion, attributing power to the spirits of ancestors, trees and other objects they believe control their lives. There are about 500 Christians, both Protestants and Catholics, who worship in eight congregations. The growing Hoen church is asking for Scripture in their own language. Unfortunately, militants from the majority religion violently oppose the spread of Christianity. $18,754 still needed

• Praise God that Acts, 2 Corinthians and 2 Thessalonians have been translated in first draft. Pray that the Lord will send a consultant to give 1 Timothy and 1, 2 and 3 John a final check.
• The team is hard at work. Pray for the Hoen team as they revise Acts, Ephesians and 1 and 2 Thessalonians.
• The team is working on an audio tape to be used as an evangelistic tool. Pray that God will work mightily in many Hoen speakers’ hearts and lives through this 90-minute evangelistic presentation.
