Daily Prayer: the Ethiopia NT Cluster
1,236,000 people from three language groups in need of the Scriptures in their languages. The Gamo, Gofa and Dawro people are three people groups united by their desire for the Bible in their three related languages. God is using a unique partnership between The Seed Company, The JESUS Film Project and the local church. Together, these three language groups are preparing translations of the Gospel of Luke and the script for the JESUS film during the last three years.
- Praise God that the Ethiopia Cluster teams are making good headway toward getting the New Testament out to people in their heart language.
- Pray that the Lord will begin preparing people to receive His Word in their mother tongue and respond in saving faith.
- Pray that people will learn of God’s power, holiness and justice from the Old Testament.
- Pray that God will give the translators understanding of unfamiliar items from Jewish culture.
