The VITAL program (Vernacular Initiative for Translation and Literacy) successfully and efficiently trains Papua New Guinean translators in Milne Bay Province. VITAL conducts workshops for teams of translators from many languages, not only to leverage the help of consultants and trainers between translation teams, but also to promote healthy teamwork among translators of related languages. In the way that VITAL uses a cluster approach, it meshes well with The Seed Company drive—to accelerate translation, for this generation.

VITAL Cluster of Papua New Guinea
Ever thought about how much biblical foundation is laid in the first several chapters of Genesis? Well, three language groups of Papua New Guinea just received Genesis 1 - 11 as a result of the VITAL project. Essentially the teams thought it would be better to get the events of Creation, the Fall and the Flood into people’s hands rather than have them wait until they’d completed work on Genesis. And now more portions are well on their way … this is just the start after all. - Aug09

Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are his riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and methods! (Romans 11:33, NLT)
