The Tera people are farmers in northeastern Nigeria. Missionaries brought news of Jesus to the Tera around 1930, and today, about 40% of the population are nominally Christian. In recent years traditional beliefs and another major religion are growing in popularity, because few Tera people can understand the Scriptures in their regional languages.
