Misaje IG Cluster
Languages participating in this cluster:
- Naami
- Chung
- Kemezung
- Nchane
- Saari
- Mungong
More than half of northwestern Cameroon’s Misaje people are Christians, but few have separated themselves from old traditions involving spirit worship. Most concern themselves with providing enough food for their families, rather than pursuing education.
This project will encourage local churches to pursue literacy programs and Scripture classes, by providing alphabet charts, books and primers, picture books of Scripture stories, reading and writing books, plus poster sets with mother-tongue captions. In the process, translators will receive training, to prepare them for further Scripture translation. They’ll also lay the groundwork for translating the “JESUS” film.

Scripture for literacy as well as church growth
But when I am afraid, I put my trust in you. O God, I praise your word. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56: 3-4, NLT)

Misaje Cluster in Cameroon
Praise the Lord for the 22 mother-tongue translator trainees chosen for the six language groups of the Misaje Cluster!
And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. (Philippians 1;6, NLT)
