Mantive NT/OT Cluster

Christians in a Southeast Asian nation have prayed for God’s Word in their own languages, but strong political and religious opposition have hampered translation efforts. Outsiders who desire to translate the Bible are generally denied access to this country, but God has raised up mother-tongue translators who are willing to risk their lives to bring His Word to their people. Today, translators from these different languages are courageously moving forward.

Believers face strong political and religious opposition. God has raised up translators who are willing to risk their lives to bring His Word to their people.- Some issues the consultant and translation team dealt with during Scripture checking were spelling and orthography questions, direct quotations, how to express purpose clauses and the use of footnotes and cross-references. Thank the Lord for a learning heart among the translators and a willingness to make meaningful changes.
