Project Profile

Manmal NT Cluster | Wolola

This language group is participating in the Manmal NT Cluster project.

The Wolola people live in a mountainous region of Southeast Asia, surrounded by beautiful flowers and active volcanoes. Most of the people are farmers who grow rice, corn and vegetables and raise cattle and horses. Though they export food for others, they themselves are hungry for Scriptures in their own language.

Wolola translators – and translators in nearby languages – attend workshops at a regional translation center as they continue translating the New Testament and portions of the Old Testament. These workshops provide translators with the training they need and a chance to collaborate.
