Lambadi NT | Lambadi
Millions of Lambadi people live quietly on the fringe of society, hoping for a better future. Hope begins in the heart, and in the heart language many accept Jesus. Yet for the Lambadi, the Bible is a blank book until it’s translated. And that’s exactly what local people are set to do, translate the complete New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs by 2011. Local church leaders, missionaries and a small band of local believers anticipate explosive church growth as a result.
This is a unique project for The Seed Company, since it’s our first partnership with the Bible Society of India, who started translation years ago. We’ll now finish this project together and hope it paves the way for many more in the future. There’s a vast need here, where many people groups still await God’s translated Word, so we must work together with local partners to accelerate Scripture translation.
