Kurok NT
The Kurok people have historically lived in the forests, but find themselves struggling to survive as they lose their traditional lands. They remain a close-knit society which has caused them to hold onto their traditional values and religious beliefs. Only a small community of believers exists among the Kurok even after many years of missionary effort. Since the Kurok have such a high regard for their own language and culture, they have been very supportive of efforts to write down their language.
