Project Profile

Ketning OT | Ketning

The Ketning people, or “the people of the valley of the sun,” live in the eastern highlands of Southeast Asia. The jungle mountains of this remote area are quite steep and difficult to travel through. No roads have been built nor do navigable rivers flow into the area. The New Testament was published in 1983 with the help of US linguists. But for more than ten years, pastors have been asking for help to translate critical Old Testament portions into their language, which has seemed unlikely in part due to their remote location.

Using a combination of communication technologies, the Ketning team and The Seed Company hope to bridge this geographic gap and translate portions of the Old Testament for the Ketning community.
