Project Profile

Irigwe NT

Irigwe

The Irigwe people have a thirst for the Bible in their language. Two previous translation efforts brought small amounts of Scripture to the Irigwe people, but few truly benefited from these efforts.

Seed Company partners will bolster these earlier efforts by the Irigwe church, providing computers, training materials, visits by experienced consultants and training sessions. We trust that this help, accompanied by much prayer, will make this third effort to translate the New Testament and Old Testament portions a success.

Irigwe women and the Irigwe poor are expected to be some of the big winners when this project is complete. They often lack the education to understand Bible translations available in the regional language, Hausa. This project will open up the possibility of personal Bible study and spiritual growth.
