The more than 230 million people in this Southeast Asian nation are relationship-oriented and open to relationship with people of other cultures. Though highly literate, most still prefer oral traditions. The Seed Company and several like-minded organizations working in this nation have formed a strategy to reach these oral learners by implementing a sweeping Bible story-telling program.
During the initial one-year phase, national trainees from each major region crafted 24 oral Bible stories using the national language as a “gateway” to meeting the needs of many other minority languages in the surrounding region. This second, three-year phase will bring together national-language speakers to craft more stories for training facilitators and story-tellers from smaller language communities.
