The New Testament is available in each of ten Mayan languages, to their respective people groups. Some are near the Lake Atitlán area of Guatemala. Six translation teams have begun with Genesis; some began with other books. After this first phase, the clear future hope for all these languages is an entire Old Testament, in the mother tongue they understand best.
Translators plan to produce print and audio Scripture. Bible storing may also be a means to introduce the Scriptures.
