Languages participating in this cluster:

  • Gamo
  • Gofa
  • Dawro

The Gamo, Gofa and Dawro people are three people groups united by their desire for the Bible in their three related languages. God is using a unique partnership between The Seed Company, The JESUS Film Project and the local church. Together, these three language groups are preparing translations of the Gospel of Luke and the script for the JESUS film during the last three years.

    Ethiopia NT Cluster

    1,236,000 speakers – 3 languages – The Goma, Darwo and the Gofa with over a million speakers, are eager to have the Scriptures in their languages. They are all confident they will be ready to publish in 2008 or 9. They are working on the NT and portions of the OT. The Seed Company is in partnership with Word for the World. JESUS Film People are also waiting for the translation so can make films etc. The 3 languages are linguistically related and are located near one another.
