ECG Matthew IM Cluster

Languages participating in this cluster:

  • Fuliiru
  • Lika
  • Tembo
  • Budu-Nita

In the aftermath of a ten-year civil war, the Democratic Republic of Congo is emerging from isolation. The agricultural societies of the Bantu language family are struggling with widespread poverty. They lack access to education, information technology and basic services like health and safety.

The Budu, Lika, Tembo and Fuliiru translators have completed Genesis and Luke in their mother tongues. These Scriptures are offering hope to a suffering people. The translators are ready now to take the next step in providing the Word of God to their communities.

At the end of this project, these four new consultants in training (CITs) may be qualified as full consultants. This is a strategic part of meeting the myriad translation needs in Africa.
