Dagria NT

God’s Word only came to these people about 10 years ago, and now 10 percent of the population attends 15 village churches. The rest of the population continues to interweave their traditional animistic religion with every part of daily life. They are still guided by many of their ancient superstitions, including a prohibition on speaking a spouse’s name for fear of terrible evil—even the possibility of death.
The harmony, love and family stability of many new believers has attracted people. Still, the local church is in great need of a truly accessible copy of God’s Word, so that they can grow in their faith and share it with their family, friends and neighbors. The believers support the translation effort, and church services are now being held in the Dagria language.
