Project Profile

Aramaic M-South OT | Aramaic M-South

The Aramaic M-South people of centuries past were blessed to own an early translation of the Bible— more than 1,500 years ago. Yet in the long passage of time, their language has changed drastically, and that translation no longer speaks to people’s hearts. Meanwhile, a faithful remnant of Christians persists under grave persecution, and a dominant religion amasses followers each year. A great opportunity awaits, to see these people receive God’s Word in their modern, everyday language. Then true revival can happen.

The people have already tasted Scriptures, with their recently translated New Testament. Now they “beg” for the Old Testament. In fact, it’s believed that the Old Testament will resonate more deeply, because of their rich heritage found therein.
