A Season of Prayer

The positive effects of the workshop that took place last November are still being felt. While the three Ayta Cluster teams were together at the end of the course, one of the team members led the group in a season of prayer. She distributed prayer requests by category — health, family, financial and project — to people assigned to pray.

At the conclusion, the group gathered to pray with Abellen translator Lena. She was struggling as one of her children was missing and her non-believing husband was just released from the hospital.

The team sensed God’s power as they humbled themselves to intercede for Lena. That weekend, three of the team members journeyed to a nearby town to look for her missing daughter. The Lord answered their prayers, as they were able to bring the girl back after the workshop. In addition, God answered the prayers for her husband who now feels healthy and strong. They greatly rejoiced together for her daughter’s safe return and for God’s power to answer prayer!
