American Bible Society
The American Bible Society (ABS), founded in 1816, works closely with The Seed Company for quality control, printing and distribution of translated Scripture. ABS seeks “to make the Bible available to every person in a language and format each can understand and afford, so all people may experience its life-changing message.”
The American Bible Society works internationally through a fellowship called the United Bible Societies (UBS). The international work began in 1946 with 12 member Societies. Today the UBS has grown to number 147 National Bible Societies. These national groups cooperate with all Christian denominations and church-related organizations for Bible outreach in more than 200 countries and territories.
